About Medy Monarch

An experienced realtor since 2014, Medy Monarch joined the Mandy & David Team after representing a buyer for one of their listings. Before starting a second career in real estate, Medy worked in fast-paced, high-tech corporations for 28 years. She brings a detailed, yet big-picture orientation to her work. She listens to her clients more than she talks and seeks to understand the motivation behind a client’s decision to buy or sell. Medy’s focused perspective provides a clear path toward client goals.

Once under contract, Medy brings her project management skills to bear; coordinating and organizing multiple parties’ roles and responsibilities while representing her client’s best interests. 

An intrepid traveler, Medy has visited more than 60 countries. She also lived in Thailand and Japan for work-related purposes. She is both a U.S. and Canadian citizen.

During Covid and its limitations, Medy wrote a novel. She is currently working on a children’s story with a life-long friend who is the illustrator.

Medy loves live music (particularly jazz) in small venues and finds most anything on/off Broadway and local D.C. theatre a much-needed and frequent escape.

Medy adopted a darling dog named Liam just before Covid hit. He captures a lot of hearts.

Medy grew up in Connecticut, attended undergrad at the University of San Francisco and went on to earn an MA in organizational management and a PhD in human development at Fielding Graduate University in Santa Barbara.

Of utmost importance to her, Medy is a devoted mentor to several young women in the District.
